Nomination Submission

The Maritime Standard (TMS) Awards recognize and celebrate excellence across various sectors of the shipping and maritime industries. Our goal is to make the awards entry process as straightforward and transparent as possible, while maintaining certain rules to ensure all nominations are evaluated fairly and consistently. The guidelines outlined below are designed to help you prepare a valid submission, but please feel free to reach out to the TMS team if you have any questions.
  • Eligibility Criteria

      1. Entries to The Maritime Standard Awards are open to all organisations involved in the shipping, maritime and related sectors.
      2. All initiatives and achievements must have been launched, or be active, within the eligibility period, which is defined as being 12 months before the date of the Awards.
      3. The nominee must have executed or directly managed the project or business operation submitted.
      4. All work must have been carried out in the Middle East and/or Indian Subcontinent OR for the Middle East and/or Indian Subcontinent market.
      5. By submitting an entry, the entrant and nominee warrants that it is the nominee’s original work.


  • Multiple Entries

    You are welcome to submit as many entries as you like and in as many categories as you wish. To enter multiple categories, please use the designated form for each category. TMS reserves the right to reassign any entry to a different category.

    Submission Deadline

    The deadline for submitting entries for The Maritime Standard Awards 2025 is Friday, 15th August 2025

    Entry Fees

    There is NO charge for submitting an entry for the Awards.

  • Submission Process

    1. All entries must be written in English and submitted via The Maritime Standard Awards online entry forms.
    2. To nominate offline, please contact Ammaar Murtaza at ammaar@flagshipme.com and obtain the entry forms.
    3. The evaluation criteria provided in the entry forms for each category is designed to be relevant, comprehensive and transparent for all nominees and clearly defined for our judging panel. The criteria ensures that all entrants can clearly communicate, affirm and support their nominations.
    4. Accuracy of figures and other information is essential. Each section of the entry form describes what the judges need to know. Please follow the format as it helps the judges evaluate the entry properly.
    5. Be concise. With many entries to review in a limited time, judges rely on clear and succinct submissions. Each section of the form has a 500-word limit.
    6. Start the entry process only after all the information to be submitted is verified and complete. Once submitted you will not be able to retrieve/edit your submission.
  • Testimonials

    1. Nominees to submit testimonials from clients or business partners in support of their submissions.
    2. Each testimonial should be no more than one page long, and up to a maximum of three testimonials for each nomination will be accepted.
    3. These testimonials should be written by customers, business partners, or other individuals and organisations that know the nominee well enough to be able to make observations about the entrant’s qualities and perform each from a first-hand point of view.
    4. The testimonial should be relevant and written specifically in relation to the particular award category being entered.
    5. The testimonial should not simply support the nomination but provide information about the nominee in some detail that will back up the main application.
    6. Each testimonial must be submitted on the letterhead of the person or organisation providing it, and must be clearly signed, indicated the name and designation of the person.
    7. All testimonials must be written in English and submitted online.
  • Aknowledgement of entries

    1. Entrants will receive an email confirmation upon submission of their entry. This acknowledgment will be sent to the email address provided in the entry form. If you do not receive this email, please contact Ammaar Murtaza at ammaar@flagshipme.com or call +971 4 380 5556 for assistance.

    Finalists and winners announcements

    1. The finalists for the 2025 Maritime Standard Awards will be revealed on Monday, 29th September 2025. Visit tmsawards.com to view the list of finalists.
    2. The winners will be announced at The Maritime Standard Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner on 6th November 2025, at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai, UAE. Secure your spot at this enchanting evening of celebration by booking your table now. Click here to attend the Awards.
    3. The method, manner and details of how a nominee is announced as a finalist or winner are at the sole discretion of The Maritime Standard.
